Animation students from Surabaya have won a film competition held by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).


A short animation titled "Captain Buckle" by Olivia Hartanto won the "Split Second" competition held by TAC in the Seatbelt Usage Brief category.

The main character of this animation is a superhero named Captain Buckle who fights to ensure everyone drives safely by wearing a seatbelt.

Olivia said that she was inspired by the Spiderman character who has the ability to release spider webs.

She admitted that she learned a lot from the process of making this animation. She saw firsthand how professionals work and it gave her a lot of knowledge.

Olivia was impressed by the perfectionist attitude of the voice actors who recorded the voice four or five times. She was also impressed by the professional attention to detail.
