A major international conference to try to restart peace talks in the Middle East has ended in France. But the meeting between delegates from 70 countries was missing two important players - Israeli and Palestinian delegates.

It was an international effort to kickstart long-stalled discussions on a two-state solution between Israelis and Palestinians.

The last round of direct peace talks collapsed in April 2014.

This summit comes at a time of tension between Israel and the international community after the United Nations passed a resolution last month denouncing Israel's settlement activity on occupied land.
