Monash University is holding a seminar (MISS 2) about increasing the study of Asian languages in Australia. How can you get involved?

Monash University will host MSS 2 that people can attend in person or on-line.

There is real concern about the declining interest in Australia to learn Asian languages especially Indonesian. What does it mean for Australia’s future domestically and internationally? What can be done to reverse the trend?


Prof Sharyn Davies isDirector of the Herb Feith Indonesia Engagement Centre and Associate Professor in the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, at Monash University.  She gives details to Sri Dean about MISS 2 then explains possible reasons for the declining interest in Indonesian Study.
