It found promising developments in the fight against melanoma with new treatment options offering fresh hope for patients.


Research involving Australian scientists has made a breakthrough - it was found that a potent combination of immunotherapy drugs, can drastically improve survival rates.

The method involves administering two immunotherapy drugs six weeks prior to cancer-removal surgery -- in contrast to current medical approaches that provide immunotherapy after cancer-removal surgery.

By boosting the immune system to kill these cells, it reduces the risk of metastasis to other areas.
