Australia could become the new dumping ground for the world's nuclear waste. In its initial findings, a South Australian Royal Commission has found storing and disposing of nuclear fuel could offer significant economic benefits for the state. The Commission hasn't made any recommendations for a specific site for a waste facility, but says any such decision would need to be made after extended community discussion.
