The number of Australians classified as having obesity-related increases to about 2.5 million people in a decade


Obesity is described as Australia's biggest health problem.

A new report says the number of Australians living with obesity has almost doubled in the past decade.

From 3.9 million in 2012 to 6.3 million in 2022.

This means that more than 60 per cent of Australians are now classified as overweight or obese.
