October 7 Anniversary: Is there anything the world can do

One year since the October 7 attack by Hamas in Israel sparked the latest round of Israeli attacks on Gaza. Vigils around the country are mourning the Israeli, Palestinian and Lebanese lives lost in the last year.


Prof. Hikmahanto Yuwana, rector of Jenderal Achmad Yani University, told SBS Indonesian that if the conflict in the Middle East cannot be resolved, it is possible that a third world war could occur. The question is, is there anything the world can do to avoid war? Prof. Hikmahanto explained.
