The Australian government's plan to impose a higher minimum age for social media use has been denounced as a quick solution to a complicated problem.
Australia's medsos legislation will make Australia one of the first countries in the world to impose age restrictions on social media.

Various previous attempts, including those by the European Union, have largely failed or encountered obstacles in their implementation.
