Andreas Harsono an author of a number of books, journalist and an Indonesia researcher for Human Rights Watch, talks about Papua issues ahead of December 1 when Papuan nationalists usually attempt to raise the Papuan national Bintang Kejora (“Morning Star”) flag.


What can we expect to happen on December 1?  How is the Indonesian government preparing for the date?   How should the Indonesian government handle those people who are arrested or detained for possessing flags or staging a protest?  Andreas Harsono explains.
