Papuan Youth: Looking to a bright future

Sometimes there is still an opinion, especially for those who have never been to Papua, that development in that region may not be as good as other regions in Indonesia. For example, in mountainous areas. But is that the case?

Pascal Marsel Norotouw is the Chair of the Tabi Traditional Youth in Papua, who recently participated in a visit by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs to Australia. In a brief conversation with SBS Indonesian in Melbourne, Pascal explained the situation of young people in Papua, including their opportunities to get higher education and participate in democracy.
