In some outer fringe suburbs where property supply is increasing and house prices are falling, this can cause considerable financial hardship for homeowners and raises concerns this could lead to an increase in forced sales rates in the region.


A concomitant rise in property supply and falling house prices on the outskirts of major cities can cause significant financial difficulties for homeowners.

Homeowners will be forced to make difficult decisions between retaining a property and expecting a market recovery, or being forced to sell at a loss.
