The government has introduced a series of changes to international student visas as part of an overhaul of its migration strategy


The ten-year strategy aims to halve net migration to Australia over the next two years, while attracting more high-skilled and essential workers.

The government hopes to bring migration numbers down to 250,000 by 2025 – which will be achieved largely by introducing stricter rules for international student visas.
