Einstein's prediction was correct: Gravitational waves warp spacetime

New research has revealed space-time is being bent by massive gravitational waves rolling the universe. It is believed these low-frequency waves are caused by the merging of galaxies.

Everything in the universe continues to shrink and expand, and until now, it was not clear how this strange phenomenon could occur.

After decades of monitoring space, scientists have revealed that space-time is being bent by massive gravitational waves rolling in the universe.

Scientists have detected gravitational waves in the past, but at higher frequencies than small objects colliding in space.

Researchers from a team called NanoGrav, short for Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves, believe these low-frequency waves are caused by merging galaxies.
