Prince Phillip ends his 16th Royal Tour of Australia by joining tens of thousands of well-wishers in Perth in 2011.

The funeral for Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh was held on 16 April Australian time. There seems to have been a warm bond between Australia and Prince Phillip. Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott even nominated Prince Phillip for an Australian knighthood.
