In June 2025, SBS celebrates its 50th anniversary. Therefore, we invite old staff who have worked at SBS Audio to recount their experiences at that time. Or remember things that they consider important, significant or events they will never forget.

We invited Roswita Nimpuno Khaiyath who currently lives in Melbourne. Knowing that there was no radio in Indonesian, Roswita contacted the relevant parties or authorities, sought out permission to broadcast in Indonesian on SBS, which at that time was still called 3EA, in 1979.

One of the memories that she will never forget was two days after she gave birth to her daughter (on Friday), Sunday night she was picked up from the hospital to broadcast and after the broadcast she was taken back to the hospital. To the SBS Audio Indonesian Program, Roswita Nimpuno Khaiyath recounted how she developed the Indonesian Program from the beginning until 1993 and discussed the role of radio itself in general.
