Should Australia tighten the rules for advertising online gambling?

Fears are growing that COVID-19 is increasing peoples’ online gambling. Research by the Experimental Gambling Research Laboratory at Central Queensland University shows a correlation between peoples’ exposure to gambling advertisements and the amount they spend on gambling.

Experts are now asking whether Australia should follow the lead of other countries like Spain and introduce stricter rules for the advertising of sports gambling.
