Concerns about renewed fighting in South Sudan has topped the agenda at the annual African Union summit being held in Rwanda. It comes as the United Nations reiterates its call for an arms embargo on the world's youngest country.


The UN's food agency, the Food and Agriculture Organisation, is warning that millions of people facing hunger in South Sudan could be driven to the brink of catastrophe if violence continues.

It says more than 4.8 million people are severely food insecure and malnutrition rates are high.
