Dr Eugenia Mardanugraha, lecturer from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Indonesia and Gatot Soepriyanto from the Accounting and Finance Department of BINUS University, and current PhD student at Monash University, talk about the merits of the Indonesian Governments decision to introduce a tax amnesty and promote Indonesia as a tax haven.

Can the Indonesian Government effectively deal with the mechanics of a tax amnesty? Are there practical and ethical issues in promoting Indonesia as a tax haven in the current global economic and political climate? Will such policies actually complement Indonesias economic aims? Dr Eugenia Mardanugraha and Gatot Soepriyanto address these and related issues.
