In an open discussion held by PPIA Victoria in Melbourne, former Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Anies Baswedan, said that teacher is the key to education in Indonesia.
PPIA (or Indonesian Students Association) Victoria hosted an open discussion titled "Vic on the Record" in Melbourne on Tuesday, August 12. The event featured Anies Baswedan, Indonesia's former Minister of Education and Culture, and Professor Yuli Rahmawati, Indonesia's Education and Culture Attaché in Canberra.
The discussion, themed "The Future of Education: Centralization, Innovation or Stagnation", drew Indonesian diaspora members and students from across Melbourne.
SBS Indonesian spoke to participant Dea Rahma, a teacher from Surabaya currently pursuing a Master of Applied Linguistics.
