To celebrate World Television Day, Dr Effendi Ghazali, a lecturer from the post graduate Communication Studies at University of Indonesia and creator of the satirical Indonesian television program Dream Republic, talks about the role of media in the Indonesian 2019 Presidential Election.


What prompted Dr Effendi Ghazali to develop the program Dream Republic?  Will conventional media like television still be influential in the 2019 Indonesian Presidential election?  Why is the role of television in Indonesian politics complex?  Dr Effendi Ghazali explains.
