With the coronavirus still haunting us and while riding into the winter which is identical with the flu season, are there any certain types of food that we should consume to increase immunity?


Is it necessary to add pepper or garlic in our food to keep us away from virus or illness?

Nutritionist and researcher at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta who is currently pursuing her PhD degree at the University of Adelaide, Dian Caturini Sulistyoningrum, explains how nutrition plays part in body's ability to ward disease off.

"There is no special diet for healthy people or those who do not have certain metabolic or nutritional disorder," she says to SBS Indonesian, adding that a balanced diet should be part of our daily diet.
