When Joe Biden became US President there was uncertainty about what should happen to his predecessor, Donald Trump after his followers attacked the Capitol building on 6th January. There were calls for his impeachment. On 14th of February at his Senate impeachment trial, Trump was acquitted of inciting insurrection.


A month ago, many Americans reeled at the attack on Capitol Hill. At the time Eben Kirksey, an American anthropologist and Associate Professor in the Alfred Deakin Institute at Deakin University, explained how and why the perpetrators of the attack should be held accountable.
