It was a full house when “Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku!” film was screened at the closing of the 20th Indonesian Film Festival in Melbourne – 10 May 2026. Given the success of the first Agak Laen film, expectation was high and the audience was not disappointed.

The film “Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku!” directed by Muhadkly Acho carries a comedy-investigation theme that takes place in a nursing home. With the same four main actors as in the previous film “Agak Laen”, this time the four comedians really succeeded in making the audience excited, annoyed and amused.

Maya Palupi Gvozden who has seen both “Agak Laen” films told SBS Indonesian that both films we full of surprises. On the other hand Wida Chandler, who only seen the second Agak Laen film said that she never seen a film that right from the beginning the audience started to laugh and until the end of the film. Both acknowledged the director's skill in surprising audience by casting the protagonists in roles that contradicted audience’s expectations. For example, in a disguise scene, the masculine Oki was asigned to play an elderly wife.
