The pandemic has forced many cafes and coffee shops in Indonesia to close. In addition, exports are also disrupted because coffee consumption in importing countries has also decreased.
Chairman of the Indonesian Specialty Coffee Association (AKSI), Syafrudin discussed problems experienced by the Indonesian coffee industry.
Mr Syafrudin is also a coffee exporter, thus experiencing the impact of the decline in the foreign market for Indonesian coffee firsthand.
