Christmas is closely associated with celebration, beautiful lights, Christmas trees, gifts, and family gatherings. However, for us the Indonesian community living in Australia Christmas is often celebrated far from our hometowns, parents, and extended families. In the midst of distance and the busyness of life abroad, Christmas invites us to reflect on its deeper meaning.

As Indonesians living in Australia, we exist within a different culture & lifestyle, and the demands of work or study. It is not uncommon for us to feel tired, homesick, or even alone. In this context, the message of Christmas becomes deeply relevant: we are not alone. Christmas brings the good news that God cares, understands, and walks with us wherever we are.
