On 21 April Indonesia celebrates Kartini Day. This year, Sri Mulyani, the Indonesian Minister for Finance, responded by taking to social media and reminding Indonesians of the continuing relevance of Kartini to millennials. Does Kartini’s struggle for gender equality still resonate with contemporary Indonesian women?
