The Nusa Tenggara Association (NTA) actively donates funds to help meet the needs of residents on the Island of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara.
The Nusa Tenggara Association (NTA) is a foundation established in Canberra over 30 years ago and actively operates in Sikka Regency, Flores Island, Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The foundation provides funds to help local communities with various facilities they need.
Michael Kramer is based in Sydney and has been an active member and donor to the foundation for at least the past six years. On October, Mr Kramer participated in NTA's annual visit to NTT and explained to SBS Indonesian the activities they undertake and the assistance they provide.
"Because in NTT, the dry season is very long, and people there are usually bound to buy water from tanks or trucks, which is very expensive," said Mr Kramer, explaining why NTA helps local residents in building water tanks.

In addition to providing water tanks, NTA also provided barbed wire to deter wild animals from local residents' homes.
Mr Kramer said that his foundation activities are able to run smoothly and have impacts on the community thanks to the support of more than a dozen staff members in Indonesia who are knowledgeable in agriculture, education, and other community-related fields.

What has NTA done for the people of Sikka Regency in NTT and what is the driving force behind it?
