In the German city of Cologne, thousands have rallied to show their support for embattled Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The demonstration has become the focus of increasingly strained ties between Germany and Turkey. It comes after Germany's top court prevented President Erdogan from addressing the meeting via a video conference.
