There's no doubt that all of us are unconsciously biased on some level when it comes to the way we live our lives and the decisions we make.

Experts say when it comes to jobs, not understanding how biases work means some groups are more likely to lose jobs and opportunities.

In a recent study, the Diversity Council Australia, which involved 3,000 workers, revealed that those who describe themselves as lower-class are more likely to feel disadvantaged at work.

But in a country like Australia, where highly educated people on low incomes rub against the rich, defining who is lower class is not so clear.
