U-S President Barack Obama has used a visit to the German city of Hanover to boost support for a controversial US-European free trade deal.

The United States and the European Union have been negotiating the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Industrial Pact - also known as the TTIP (Tee-tip) - since 2013.

Officials estimate the T-TIP would add 100 billion dollars annually to the economies on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
