What does Jakarta have to do to get out of the latest COVID-19 social restrictions?

The number of corona virus cases and deaths in Indonesia continues to rise. Jakarta is the epicentre. In response, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has announced the re-introduction of tight social restrictions. How can Jakarta overcome this latest challenge, particularly the pressure on hospitals and cemeteries?


Dr Reni Suwarso is a Jakarta resident and a Politics lecturer at the University of Indonesia.  She believes the problem is complex but there are three issues that must be addressed to reduce the spread.
