WHO declares end of global health emergency of COVID-19, what’s next?

On the 04 May WHO declared that covid-19 is no longer a “global health emergency”. Or WHO has removed PHEIC (public health emergency of international concern). However, WHO warned the world to remain vigilant because the virus is still a threat to us all.


Dr Dicky Budiman, an epidemiologist and Global Health Security researcher at Griffith University explains to Sri Dean why COVID-19 should be considered an established and ongoing health problem. He encourages people, particularly those in the risk categories to get the appropriate booster.
