Who is most at risk of getting Monkeypox?

The continuing spread of Monkeypox in countries like Australia in which the illness normally does not spread has caused concern. Canada has issued a Monkeypox travel warning to visitors from a number of countries including Australia. What chances do you have of catching the virus?


Dr Dicky Budiman is an epidemiologist who is undertaking research to complete his PhD at Griffith University.  Dr Cely Goeltom is a GP who specialises in women’s health at the Eastern Medical Centre.  They explain to Sri Dean the nature of Monkepox, who is at risk of catching it and what we can do to minimise the risk.
