In a video launched on social media, parliamentarian and member of Indonesia’s Prosperous Justice Party Al Muzzammil Yusuf accused the University of Indonesia’s (UI) academics of teaching new students about free sex. UI staff said his claims were defamatory.

Dr Reni Suwarso, lecturer in politics and Director of the Institute for Democracy, Security and Strategic Studies at UI explains why academic staff went to the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian Police.   According to Dr Reni Suwarso, Dr Al Muzzammil Yusuf should not use his parliamentary immunity.
