Ichiro announces his retirement at 45

Professional baseball player Ichiro Suzuki announces his retirement from Major League Baseball after Seattle Mariners' regular-season game against the Oakland Athletics at the Tokyo Dome.

45-year-old Ichiro held a press conference after the game.  Even though the conference started after midnight, more than 100 journalists gathered to listen to what Ichiro said.

He played baseball professionally for nine years in Japan and he was entering the 19th season in the United States.
