Japan sends bushfire assistance to Australia

The Japanese government on Wednesday decided to dispatch Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Self-Defense Force Units to Australia to assist Australia's fight with its unprecedented bushfires.

The SDF's two C-130 transport planes arrived today at the Royal Australian Air Force Base Richmond.  The SDF Unit is expected to get engaged with the transport of recovery equipment and personnel in Australia.
