The inaugural WorldPride was held in Rome in 2000 and the next hosting city for the biennial event this year is New York City. WorldPride has been hosted in Jerusalem, London, Toronto and Madrid since 2000.

Sydney's bid for WorldPride 2023 gets NSW funding
Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras says that their bid for WorldPride 2023 has been strengthened by a $192,000 funding boost from the NSW Government.
