After decades of tension between the two major Asian powers, China and Japan have hailed a new era of friendship. Broadcast on the 22nd of May, 2018.


The historic foes have been brought closer by other tensions with the United States over trade and developments on the Korean Peninsula, and it is impacting – positively -- on Japanese expatriates in China.

When Chinese premier Li Keqiang visited Japan earlier this month he and Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe hailed a new era of friendship between the two countries.
