This year, Yui was welcomed by the extreme Sydney weather ranging from the heat of 47 degrees Celsius to the recent unusually cool climate.  Yui tells us that it’s important for all players to be able to handle the environment change smoothly and how important her preparation is for her to be able to focus on each match.

Yui also tells us how much she likes Australia.  She visited Sydney as a tourist with her friend when she was 18 years old.  Yui said she is looking forward to seeing all staff at the Australian Open again as they have been very friendly and nice to her.  Yui participated in her first Australian Open when she was 17 years old and also last year, where she won the title for the first time.

Takeshi Kaihuku, national coach of Japan Wheelchair Tennis Association, joined the interview and gives us tips on how to increase your enjoyment of watching wheelchair tennis.
