Australian students showing improvements in maths and science

Australian students have risen in global calculations for mathematics and science, outstripping many of their international peers.

The newly released results of the 2019 Trends in Mathematics and Science study show Australia's Year Fours ranked 14th out of 58 nations for  science  - that's up 11 spots on the last study, four years ago.

Australia ranked seventh in the world in year eight maths and year eight science.
