Ms Masami Takimoto, the co-director of the Japanese free magazine Japanese Magazine Q, moved to Brisbane from Perth about three years ago.

Ms Takimoto realized that there is so much interest in Japan and Japanese culture among people in Brisbane.  She decided to start a new community magazine to offer a platform for the Japanese community and people who are interested in Japan to gather and connect.

The first issue was out in September.  The magazine is available in print media and also in digital format.  Ms Takimoto thinks that going digital helped the magazine get through the pandemic.

In the audio, Ms Takimoto talks about the magazine and her future plans.
