Celebrating the new Japan era away from home

Japanese Sydneysiders celebrated the beginning of the new era, Reiwa, by signing a congratulatory book at the Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney.

Japan has welcomed in the new era, Reiwa, as Japan's emperor Naruhito ascended to the throne on Wednesday.

People from the Japanese community in Sydney celebrated the occasion and started the new era on a high note.  In the audio, some of them share their feelings towards both the new and previous era.
