Early childhood education is a great start in life - but how do we pay for it?

Children who attend early childhood education and care perform better at school and later in life. That's according to a draft report by the Productivity Commission, which recommends up to 30 hours of childcare should be available for all children aged up to five years old.


But that's not without challenges.

The sector is already facing chronic workforce shortages.
