Enemy Alien: Joseph Murakami's untold Australian story

Enemy Alien was screened in 2022. This short documentary film tells the story of Joseph Clement Kisaburō Murakami (Jo Murakami), a Broome-born Japanese Australian who, as a teenager during WWII, was sent with his family to an internment camp as an “enemy alien.” A Sydney-based Japanese family, the Kasugas, portrayed the Murakami family in the film. This story was first published in 2022.
