The World Health Organisation is urging Europeans to wear face masks during Christmas celebrations to limit the spread of coronavirus.


It comes as the continent prepares to begin vaccination programs before the end of the year, pending regulatory approval.

Countries across the continent continue to increase restrictions as they register thousands of new cases and hundreds of additional deaths each day.
