Tourism, transport and aviation operators fear mass redundancies are imminent, with the JobKeeper subsidy due to end in three weeks. The industry continues to reel from a collapse in international travel, and calls are growing louder for a targeted support program.

New research from the Transport and Tourism Forum says one third of the country has experienced at least a 40 per cent drop in visitors.

The Forum's Margy Osmond says without targeted support to replace JobKeeper, thousands more businesses may not survive.

The Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says $251 billion has already been committed in support for business and industry.

Labor's Treasury spokesman Jim Chalmers is calling for certainty now, as hundreds of thousands of workers face losing JobKeeper at month's end.
