The Nippon Foundation released the results of their first global survey focusing on young Nikkei, Japanese immigrants and their descendants.

The results showed the opposite to the popular belief that younger Japanese immigrants are losing their connection to Japan.  It shows that 73 percent of the respondents, aged 18 to 35,  have a strong sense of Nikkei identity.

Ms. Ikuko Okubo from The Nippon Foundation led the research.  In the audio, Ms. Okubo explains the result of the survey and talks about the young Nikkei in Sydney, Australia.
