Government abandons water buybacks in restructure to Murray Darling Basin Plan

The Federal Government's Murray-Darling Basin water buyback scheme will be axed as part of a big restructure into the management of the river system. Resources Minister Keith Pitt says water recovery targets are not being met and a new action plan is needed, to save the nation's most important water resource.
