Ms Mayu Akiba is a committee chairperson for the annual Japan Festival Byron Bay at Byron Bay, NSW.  Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the committee decided to hold the event online for the first time.

Ms Akiba and the committee reached out to Japanese artists in all parts of Australia and ask them to send a video to showcase Japanese performing arts digitally.

The festival will have professional artists based in Japan as guest.  The featured program is a collaborative music piece performed by children both in Byron Bay and in Kanagawa, Japan.
