Japanaroo is back in September, bringing Japan-Australia friendship to the next level

The augural 'Japanaroo', a new format of a Japanese festival, was held last year with a theme 'Japan at your doorstep', to bring Japan to Australia. Now the organising committee is aiming for more this year. Consul-General of Japan in Sydney Masahiko Kiya explains.

The augural 'Japanaroo', a new format of a Japanese festival, was held last year with a theme 'Japan at your doorstep', to bring Japan to Australia. Now the organising committee is aiming for more this year. Consul-General of Japan in Sydney Masahiko Kiya explains.


Japanese public and private sectors in Sydney are teaming up again to hold a Japanese festival called 'Japanaroo' in September this year. 

This year's Japanaroo will last for 9 days and its event venues will be scattered around Sydney. Some of the events are planned to be held online.
